Momspiration For You...St. Patrick's Day!

Today's Fabulous Finds has made this adorable St. Patrick's day subway art printable! There are many styles and colors to choose. I am going to print one of these for my house! Love them!

This little St. Patrick's day present is full of luck!! Greenbean's Crafterole shows you how she made this adorable gift!

I just love the whole "Keep Calm" trend! So I just couldn't pass by these printables from two twenty one. Chelsea generously as offered 3 different sayings!

How about a lucky snack for the kids! This great idea from Martha Stewart is super simple. Just cut up a bell pepper width-wise  for the shamrock look, then slice another pepper length-wise for the stems. Serve with your child's favorite dip! Yum!

Aches and Pains, Tumbling and An Awesome Hubby!

Yesterday was rough. I guess I officially caught the flu. Horrible aches and pains. Chills so bad I was convinced that our heater had stopped working!! My son begging me to get out of bed a play. And all I could say was, "Mommy is broken."

I am slowly starting to feel better though, which is a good sign.

Today, my son was invited to a neighbors birthday party. They had a Tumble Bus for them to play in. How cool is that?! I don't remember there being any Tumble Buses around when I was growing up!! Do you?

But, thank goodness for the husband, he has been such a trooper all weekend. Taking care of me yesterday and taking little guy to the party today! ('Cause it was going to happen with me!!)

I hope this weekend, you have been enjoying good health and happy times!!

Happy Saturday to you all!

It's The Little Things.....

Happy Thursday, my friends! I can't believe that this week is almost over. But I love my weekends, don't you??

I wanted to share something with you that I started last Sunday. It's something new in my life...its a little thing really...at least that's what I thought at first. You see, it only takes up 20 minutes of my time. And I have to do it everyday to reap the rewards. But really, who doesn't have 20 minutes to spare...

So what do I do for 20 minutes everyday?? I meet with this lovely lady...

At first though, I hated those 20 minutes. It was hard and painful. But the whole time I just keep telling myself...it's only 20 minutes!! You spend more time then that sitting in traffic!!! And Jillian keeps telling me that if I keep it up, I will be shredded just like her! Well....a girl's got to try, right?!!

And even though its a little thing like 20 minutes out of my day...its making a big impact on my life. I feel good about myself for pushing through the workout and doing something good for my body and health. I like the feeling of my thighs hurting so bad I can hardly climb up my stairs! I do!! It means change is happening....and for the better!!

This one little 20 minute change has brought on other little changes in my life too. Like....

Less thinking about adding this into my day....

Add trying to add a little more of these...

A little more of this too...

All of these little changes are adding up. And each day that I change things up just a bit...I feel like this....

A great sense of accomplishment and pride in myself! And that is such an awesome feeling!!

On this Thankful Thursday, be thankful for the little small changes or improvements that you are making in your life. Sometimes you may think that they are so small they don't really matter and they won't add up to anything great. But I am hear to tell you that they do matter and they will add up!!  Day by day, little by little,  you are going to grow stronger, be more healthier, more radiantly beautiful and more confident.

I challenge you to start today. Pick a little thing to change in your life.. Try it for a week...it's just a little thing. What do you have to loose?? But you have everything to gain!

Travelin' Around Town Tuesday--Ready...Set....KA BOOM!!

This week I totally stayed on budget!! (cough, cough) Actually, nope! Not even close! You thought last week was bad! Well honey, lay your eyes on this week!!

This week I went to 3 stores; Whole Foods, Sprouts, and King Soopers.

Whole Foods total spent was $50.39. I purchased organic broth, organic coffee, organic flax seed, organic eggs, organic bread and 5 organic whole chickens (not pictured)!!! The organic whole chickens was a one day sale for $1.69 lb!! I had to take advantage of that sale!

Sprouts total spent was $44.39. I purchased organic bread, cheddar cheese, grapes, tomatoes, organic apples, potatoes, blueberries and 6 lbs. of organic grass fed beef!! That was a great price on the beef, so I had to stock up there too!!

King Soopers total spent was $42.33. I purchased cereal, granola, (2) bread crumbs, risotto rice, roasted red peppers, parsley, lemon pepper seasoning, celery, organic carrots, frozen pearl onions, pesto, sour cream, salsa, organic milk, and yogurt. I had some coupon/sale match-ups which saved me $13.37. (At least that something off my bill, right?!)

So my grand total for this week is a whopping $137.11!! Can you believe that?!! I spent my budget for this week and....next weeks! Yikes!! But, I will say that I know I can s-t-r-e-t-c-h my chickens out for more than just one meal. I can roast it, then use the left overs for sandwiches or chicken noodle soup.

So even though I threw the grenade at my budget this week....I did stock up on some great food!! And I know our tummies are going to be happy!! Just goes to show you that I also struggle with the weekly food budget. But really, I am thankful I have a budget because it keeps my spending in check. And when I do go over like I did the past two weeks, I know that I better cool it for awhile. So that's exactly what I intend to do!

How did you do this week? Are you hearing KA BOOM at your house too?!

Travelin' Around Town Tuesday--I Blew My Budget!!

This week I went to 2 stores; Target and Sprouts.

Target total spent was $29.49. I purchased 3 bottles of Excedrin, Snuggle, Downy, Tide, Shout and Cottonelle toilet paper. My total before coupons was $ 48.96. I had (3) coupons for FREE Excedrin, along with Target and manufacturer coupons for Downy, Tide, Shout and Cottonelle. Overall my savings was $19.97 or 40% off the total!

Sprouts total spent was $52.24. I purchased whey protein, OJ, organic cottage cheese, (2) frozen waffles, granola, filet mignon, asparagus, apples, yams, strawberries, spinach, and salad blend.

My total for this week was $81.73. I was over budget by $16.73! I knew I would be over because I splurged on filet mignon for V-day dinner. So next week I will try to stay well below to make up the difference! Think I can?

DIY: Preparing For Love Day!

Since my little guy was so sick all of last week, I am behind in getting my Valentine's Day gifts together. So today I have been busy....

For Valentine's Day I have these super cute mailboxes and a special card from my little guy! I will explain the card in a bit. First, let's talk mailboxes! I found these cute mailbox tins at Target in the $1 section! I snagged up 8 of them! I then dashed over to Hobby Lobby for some Valentine's themed rub-on transfer stickers.

I put our initials on the front and then rubbed-on some decorations! I thought I would add some flashy bling on the flag...So stinking cute!

And of course, I have some goodies stashed inside!! That's the REALLY fun part!!

I also made some for Sebastian's teachers! I hope they like them!!

And I thought the grandparents might adore them too. Although, I had to get a little creative with the names. But I think they will melt a few hearts! :)

Sebastian's Valentine's Day card turned out well.  It's hard to get him to pose for pictures and this definitely required that! I took a picture of him making a fist. After it printed, I then cut a little hole above and below the fist to slide the sucker in. I wish I could say this was my idea, but I stole it from blogland!

The poem however (because its amazing of course!) is written by me! I know...I know...I should give up blogging for a poetry writing career! Right! I do love the cards though and I know I will treasure it for years to come!!

Tomorrow is the big day and I still have lots to do. So I am going to get back to work and start cleaning my house! Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!!
