Everyone needs some cheer in their lives, especially during the holidays. Sebastian and I decided to spread some cheer this year with sweet cookie boxes.
Last Sunday night we went to the store and bought all our ingredients. We grabbed a Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie mix because we had a coupon!
Once we returned home it was time to get to baking. First step was to pour our sugar cookie mix into a bowl.
Then we mixed in the egg, butter and flour. Once combined we rolled it out and got to cookie cutting. Sebastian wanted to make gingerbread men and I picked a few other shapes, the snowflake being my favorite.
After our cookies were baked and cooled, we got to my favorite part…the icing! Yum! I could probably eat a whole bag of icing. 😉 Sebastian did a great job decorating his cookies, don’t you think?
Now remember, we are no icing experts here. We just had fun and this is the result; some pretty funny looking cookies!
If you follow me on Instagram, you saw my husbands wonderful “holiday” decorated cookie. lol
The last step was wrapping up the cookies. I grabbed some tissue paper, a few treat boxes and printed these adorable gift tags. It was as easy as wrap, stuff, and tie.
We all had a fun night and we’re so happy these cookies will help spread some cheer to others!
