Improving Me in 2013: Day 29 {French Braided Bang Tutorial}

| | |

Today’s tutorial is pretty easy if you already know how to french braid.
The only real trick is teaching yourself how to do it sideways.
But if I can do it, anyone can! 🙂

The first step is to section off the bangs you will be
working with from your other hair.
I used some bobby pins to keep the unwanted hair back.
Starting at the top of your head,
grab about an inch of hair in your bang section
and divide it into three equal sections.
Then start braiding down the side of your head.
Complete braiding until you reach the end of the hair.
Then use a bobby pin to secure
the braid along the side of your head.

Take out the bobby pins that were holding your extra hair back
and let it fall over the bobby pin holding your braid in place.

It should look something like this when you are done…

I think this braid is a fun way to add just a subtle change to your normal hairstyle.

A little tip: I sprayed my bang section with some hairspray before I started braiding.
It helped reduce static and gave me a little more gripping power.

That’s another easy 5-minute hairstyle! What do you think?
